I'm not really going to say much here today, but sharing another mori girl coordinate worn by my sister when we were out in town. In my opinion, mori girls doing naturel-kei shouldn't be afraid of having a different shade of color or a pop of color once in a while.
In these recent photos, we're both seen wearing grey and creme colored coordinates. Try different pastel colors and if you really like black, why not try a black and grey shades coordinate. As for hair styling, it should not be overdone. It should be hassle free and natural looking.
Before I sign off, I'd like to give a shout out to the girls at Morigirl @ LJ, thanks for the warm welcome! I look forward to sharing more things with all you readers out there! Thanks for reading once again.

::Mori Snap:: UNIQLO:Outfit post
HAVE I EVER MENTIONED HOW MUCH I LOVE UNIQLO?
For one thing, Uniqlo is Japanese casual store which is super mori friendly.I'm pretty much broke because of Uniqlo but the quality is worth it. The worst part about it is that i live near by Uniqlo. tsk tsk. That aside, if you don't have a Uniqlo store near by and want to find out more, check out their website here
I'm absolutely happy with my recent purchase at Uniqlo. I bought one of the Designers Invitation for UT outfits. The designer was Suzuki Takayuki. It's one of my favourite dress now!
A little bit about him, he was born in Aichi prefecture in 1975. He launched his brand "Suzuki Takayuki" in 2002 and has been taking part in the Tokyo Collection since 2007. Suzuki started "Ikkuna/suzukitakayuki," a brand that specializes in organic cotton, as well as "Toha" a collaboration project line. In September 2009, he opened his store in Shibuya PARCO PART-1.
His website is www.suzukitakayuki.com

Lolitas on the Ice skating ring!
Not too long ago, I went Ice skating with my lolita friends, organized by Black Alice ( a lolita shop in Singapore). It was really my first time Ice skating ever and also the first of almost all the lolitas who attended. Nevertheless it was a good new experience for me despite a bruise that I got while trying to get up from a fall.
Eventually, I sort of got the hang of it, also with the help of more experienced loli-skaters who were so very kind to teach me. I ended up wearing more towards the EGA style :) also for the fear that i'll freeze or something which was not exactly the case! Anyway, I'm just going to share a few photos, credit goes to Black Alice of course.

I call this the Lolita life line...Lolitas hanging for their dear lives! I'm doing the same thing too...I'm the really black figure...Marjolein from Holland, has no problems with skating as compared to us Singaporeans. We lack of ice. She kindly helps out lolitas skate. We were happy to have her around and hope she'll come back again one day.
This is a photo of me in the middle...with a..."I can't take it anymore pose." Probably the first few shaky rounds! I did manage to skate twice around the ring without touching the sides! I was really exhausted just keeping my balance up!
Below is a group photo! The guy next to me is Tim, who is the owner of black alice. It's really good to meet up with fellow lolitas and experience new things :) I had a good time.

Dollykei Hairstyles & Wigs
It's been a while since my last post!
Before I begin, the photos used in this post belongs to their respective owners.
When you first look at dolly kei girls you will immediately notice that most of them have bangs! The most popular colors range from purples to blonde! Take a look at this chart, these are just a few of the colors that i have observed. Of course there's dark browns too! Hair colors for dolly kei is really not restricted as seen from some dolly kei girls. I've seen silver-ish purple, orangey and really purple!
Lets take a look at the stylings!
The most popular one i've seen so far between mori girls and Dolly kei girls is the Long or short bob. See what I mean with colors not being restricted?

The longer styles can either be with or without bangs. However mostly seen with wavy or large curls but nothing too drastic either.
Finally, the long hair but tied up with bangs version!
Most of them either tied it in a pony tail and make it into a bun or sometimes tie to the side with a little accessory. Most importantly, the BANGS are important! Be it above or below eyebrow.
So are you interested in achieving some of the hairstyles??
If you have a big budget, I recommend Prisilla wigs which you can get on Rakuten.co.jp however
I think korean wigs might be more suitable. Try to join a group order from LJ communities~! or try gmarket.com. I recommend wigsfrom Gabalnara great for Lolita, Morigyaru or Dolly kei.
Another alternative, if you know your way around, try Taobao from cosplay wigs shops.
If you're really on a tight budget, maybe ebay? I recently bought a wig for just $11usd shipping included and i'm satisfied with the quality, I'll post up a pic one day. I bought it from here.
Bear in mind that if you want really good wigs, try to get the ones made from heat resisting fiber. :)
I hope this entry was useful! Thank you for reading!

::Feature:: Shan Shan of Tiny Wardrobe
Today's feature post is the creator behind tiny wardrobe. Shan Shan also known as Dadaya, is a 30 year old textile artist and an online boutique owner from Osaka,Japan. I've been a fan of her for awhile now and I just love her bold sense of fashion and also her mori girl inspired looks. Here are some of my favorite mori looks from her, although admittedly I like all of her other looks!
(bottom photo) This is probably one of my favorite looks, the dress is the same as the above but she layered it with another skirt or petti and a nice long cardigan. It's simple, nice and not overly layered look. The bag, the boater hat and the boots goes really well together!Another reason why I also like her because she makes my inner online shopper really happy. She runs TinyWardrobe and sells such lovely floral tights! She has really lots of lovely pieces in her shop.
So please check out her shop out here
or you can check out her etsy shop.
To know more about her and see her other looks, check out her interview at lookbook!
